This 3-day intensive is designed for absolute beginners and uses fun assignments and exercises to introduce important painting basics like brushwork, color theory and mixing, and seeing the world through an artist's “eye.” Julie Read is a painter of realism, so her classes are designed to get learners started with drawing and painting what they see. Class size is limited to 6 so that Julie can work individually with each student to guide them toward their personal style. Students will come away from their weekend with finished paintings and drawings, and the confidence to build their own painting practice at home.
Class meets Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 4pm with a lunch break from 12-1.
Friday July 24th - Sunday July 26th 9am - 4pm
