Pizza & Paint classes are a 3-hour, fun introduction to Acrylic painting for adults...and it’s a Pizza party! Designed for beginners but fun for everyone, Julie guides you step-by-step through the painting process. Each class has a theme, and no paintings will be the same. Everything you need to make a painting will be provided, except for an apron and sometimes a reference photo!
FOR PAINT-A-PET YOU NEED A PHOTO!
A high-resolution photo with good light and shadows, sparkles in the eyes. It is best to print the photo full size at 8" x 10". It doesn’t matter if it is a full-body shot or a headshot, but your success in this class sometimes depends on the clarity and size of your photo.
It is also worth mentioning that you may not want to try adding too many other elements, like if the pet is lying in blankets on a couch or snuggled in someone’s lap. It is hard to include those other elements sometimes. Try to find a picture of your pet where they are just standing or sitting there looking cute!
SCHEDULE FOR THE NIGHT
Doors open at 5:30, and there will be non-alcoholic beverages for you when you arrive, including coffee, tea, sodas and sparkling water. You are welcome to BYOB. Class starts promptly at 5:45 p.m.

We will take a break from the painting class when Waterfront Pizza delivers 2 pizzas at 7:30 p.m. There will be a vegetarian and meat option, but no gluten-free or non-dairy options. If you need to bring in something for yourself to eat, you are welcome to do so and there is a fridge and microwave you may use.

There will also be cookies.

Class ends at 8:45 p.m. so that we can clean up and admire all the masterpieces!

ABOUT THE GALLERY & PARKING
Please be advised that parking downtown on Friday nights can be a little tricky. The Grover Gallery does not have a designated parking area, though there are spaces right in front of the gallery if you are lucky enough to snag one! Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to find a spot. There are 2 steps to get into the gallery. There is a coat rack and restroom for you to use and good lighting. There are good-sized tables and spaces for you to spread out comfortably, with class size limited to ten. There is heat, but no air conditioning.
